They should continue with that weight for 5 sets of 10 repetitions total, while stretching their chest and shoulders, and resting for around 2 minutes between each set.</p>
<p>Next are the pull-up exercises in this section of soccer strength training. Players should do this with their palms facing their body to work their biceps as well as the back. The last phase of upper body exercises is to concentrate on the abdominals and leg raises of about 5 sets of 20 or more repetitions. There&#8217;s a wide selection of different brands on the market. The majority of them work on the basis of introducing a very small degree of instability whilst walking in them.</p>
<p>It doesn&rsquo;t sound like a great idea &ndash; but the theory is that the wearer&rsquo;s muscles will naturally react to the instability by attempting to regain balance, which makes them do a little extra work. The additional work carried out by the muscles in the lower body has the effect of trimming your butt and toning your legs more efficiently than normal walking. In effect, you get a lower body workout without having to visit the gym &ndash; and without having to pay any monthly gym membership fees.</p>
<p>Masai Barefoot Technology (MBT) shoes were the first to appear. They weren&#8217;t originally designed as toning shoes. They were aimed at people who wanted to improve posture, reduce stress on joints and reduce lower back pain. They have a specially designed sole which produces a gentle rolling motion when your foot lands on the ground. This is intended to replicate the sensation of walking on soft sand in your bare feet. The sole is quite thick and chunky and not everyone will find it visually appealing. They are fairly expensive &ndash; but if they relieved your back pain, or toned up your lower body, you would probably consider them to be a worthwhile investment.</p>

They began life as a range of sandals but, in response to customer demand, the range was expanded to incorporate boots, clogs and slippers.</p>
<p>Reebok has recently launched its own toning shoe &ndash; the Reebok Easy Tone range. This is slightly different from the other toning shoes insofar as it uses air pods built into the sole of the shoe to create instability rather than a specially shaped sole.</p>
<p>All of the manufacturers previously mentioned have independent test results which back up their assertions that their shoes can give you a lower body workout just by walking around as normal. There are also plenty of glowing testimonials from very satisfied users. It goes without saying that there are sceptics as well.</p>
<p>It sounds great doesn&#8217;t it &#8211; just pull on your magic shoes and work your lower body just by walking around. But is it maybe just too good to be true? Quite possibly it doesn&#8217;t matter that very much. Some of these shoes cost no more than traditional exercise shoes &#8211; some are even a little cheaper. You could just wait until you need a new pair of shoes anyway and then try them. If the only improvement that toning shoes provide is to encourage the wearer to walk more often, then that&#8217;s a worthwhile benefit in itself.</p>
